The year of 2002 may not have been an official leap year, however it was a HUGE leap year for Jeff and Paulia.  It was a year of leaping out of Memphis, TN  into Hot Springs, AR.  The small town simple life sounded very appealing, while leaving behind careers in the transportation business and the medical field.  After a little research, the real estate industry should be the perfect fit and a breeze for two hard-working souls with a background in marketing and sales, right?  Shortly after the move, one thing became clear …. we didn’t know as much as we thought. After a few tough lessons, it was apparent that more training would become necessary to better serve Hot Springs. 

Selling homes in the shortest amount of time for the best price requires great marketing skills. Great marketing means be different, stand out from the crowd, shine a spotlight on it, focus on the unique features.  Question was “what could we do differently to help our clients stand out from a large crowd?”  Answer was “Shift attention and learn from the best outside of the local market!” Within five years, we had earned more designations than any other agent in Hot Springs while taking advanced courses in Florida, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, New York, Louisiana, Arizona, and California. 

Throughout those five years of learning and growing, a recession was brewing around the corner.  Fortunately, those five years prepared us to help many clients maneuver the changing market with a strategic roadmap, while providing guidance with long-term financial stability.  Many tactics included pricing ahead of the curve, creative trading options, determining rent vs. sale options, evaluating home improvement values, and working our tails off.  With the added knowledge and experience gained, we were recognized as the top selling team in Hot Springs in 2008 – 2013 during the most challenging period in recent history.
